About Us
Evan and Katja Bouw arrived
in New Zealand on November 2008 from Europe, having chosen to
migrate to New Zealand instead of the planned South Africa,
after just one holiday earlier that year. They immediately fell in
love with the beautiful Bay of Plenty.
They bought a 10 Ha property in Katikati where they
established a Passionfruit Orchard. They loved New Zealand and
their new home, the reason why they called the Orchard Bongani, which means “Be Grateful”
in Zulu. When
looking for a sign for their property
gate, they couldn’t find what they where looking for, so
designed and made the sign their
selves.
When good friends loved the sign, they made them
one as a housewarming gift for their new property, where the sign got so many compliments
that to start a business in making them seemed the next logical step.
